. . . Police say 24-year-old John Vernon Jackson, Jr. is a suspect in the murder. We're by authorities that Mathews' credit cards were found on Jackson.

He is being held in the Vanderburgh County Jail on charges of stabbing and robbing an Evansville cab driver.

He is also accused of cutting a gas station clerk during a robbery last week.

Black male arrested in hammer attack of white mall shopper

Denzil Weatherspoon was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. Weatherspoon is accused of hitting Ryan Lynch in the head with a hammer while intervening in a fight between Lynch and several juveniles.

Police say two other juveniles may be charged in the case.

The search is on for four killers who gunned down a man in East Albany. It's apparently a random killing that's left a family heartbroken.
